Restricted or unrestricted narrative ? Single-strand plot as it focuses on one investigation/ murder per season. It is a restricted narrative as the viewer limits to what characters know (or less?), which helps create greater curiosity in the viewer and can lead to surprise. 5 Which narrative elements , plot strands and enigmas were resolved by the end of the episode and which were unresolved ?
